Phnom Penh:
On 11 July, 2007 at Phsar Touch Village, Toul Sangke Quarter, Reussey Keo District, Phnom Penh City, Cambodia, Riverkids Foundation cooperated with the Cabin Crew Association of Singapore Airlines to organize a Fun Fair for the kids and families of the Riverkids Community.
Mr. Sophon Phy, the Executive Director of Riverkids Foundation, said that the Fun Fair had been carried out fruitfully at the Riverkids Community of Phsar Touch due to the efforts of Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Dale Edmonds and Singapore Airline –SIA who provided an opportunity for the kids and families of the community to enjoy themselves. The volunteers from Singapore also had an opportunity to share their compassion and resources with the Cambodian children. They learned more about the Khmer culture and built relations between Cambodia and Singapore.

Mr. Sophon tells the history of Riverkids Foundation which was founded by Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Dale Edmonds who continue to work as fundraisers finding donors from Singapore and other countries. Since Riverkids started their project at Phsar Touch Village, 40 kids have been enrolled in the Kindergarten program, 50 kids have been enrolled at the Grade school and 14 teenage women have been enrolled at the Get Ready Vocational Training. In addition, Riverkids also provides stationery, food, uniforms to the students and their families. Riverkids even assists the parents in taking the kids to the hospital if necessary.
At that time Mrs. Dale Edmonds, the Founder of Riverkids and the representative of all the Riverkids Foundation Donors expressed feelings of happiness to see the kids who had not had an opportunity for even school in the past now not only enjoy education but an event like the Fun Fair. Mrs. Dale also advised to all of the kids to learn hard to be good citizens in the future.

How fabulous that the local papers are spreading the word about Riverkids, too! (I'm going to refer to you as Mrs. Dale from now on.)
