All thanks to a grant from Oxfam Quebec, Riverkids' Community Library Learning Center has been built. It is an extended roof, extending out across the width of the small field at Alexandra's Family House. The children have commented that they like the Centre because it looked natural. :) This Learning Centre will provide an excellent and comfy area for community members to attend workshops or just relax -

Community Library Centre
The Centre has also been put to go use with a Quiz conducted by the Education staff. It's a quiz about R-E-S-P-E-C-T for the students at Steven's House.
The Korean Pioneers in Overseas NGOs (KOPION) mobile library introduced a few months back has been exceedingly popular with the kids. Pheakdey, the Education Coordinator mentioned this in an email a couple of weeks back: 'You know since the mobile library from KOPION they come to help Riverkids and now our kids want to know, want to read more than before.'
As a result the Community Learning Centre has a mini library at a corner - making the books accessible to everyone, at any time.
