Trip to the Dentist

We would like to say thanks to a group of volunteers from Well Hope who brought a group of RiverKids students to the dentist recently. Although we do give basic medical care to students enrolled in Riverkids programs, we simply don’t have the funding to provide regular dental checkups, and unfortunatley many of our students suffer from serious dental problems as the result of malnutrition and poor hygine. The Well Hope voluneers accompanied a group of children who had complained of toothaches to the dentist and paid the full cost of the treatements. These kids are now healthy and free from pain thanks to the generosity of the Well Hope volunteers.
