A volunteer of Riverkids, Victoria Newman from the Canadian International School (Singapore) will be challenging the half marathon in the up-coming Standard Chartered marathon held in ta-da! Singapore!
Now the last time I ran a half marathon was about two years ago when I was forced by my friend to participate. After that I swore never to pay a single cent for any organised runs ever - no matter how attractive the goodie bags are. (Well, that's going to change in January *gulp*)
Anyway, Victoria was great and offered to do up a marathoner's sponsorship form for Riverkids. Not only that she managed to print some unofficial Riverkids shirts for her family of runners! We'll get pictures for you guys once we get them.
The marathon's this Sunday! Do wish them luck!
The marathoner's sponsorship form will be available on the website in due course. In addition, it'll be uploaded in our soon-to-be-soft-launched-online-bulletin-community-site! That should happen in the middle of next week. Do check your emails for invites!
