The Singapore River Market wasn't by the Singapore River which many vendors had hoped, but it was near enough- it's a wee 5 minutes walk from the river.
Well, at least there's shelter from the rain and there's air-conditioning! And hey, how many people get to sell stuff at the old Parliament house (aka the Arts House)
Special thanks to Samantha, Tasha and Abigail (Tasha's friend) for helping us out at the booth. I had pictures of you guys but they were blurry *argh!*.
But I've got some lovely - though still slightly blurry - pictures of the booth and 'customers'.
Presenting our cambodian Hello Kitty!
One 'happy' customer (Jimmy, Dale's husband) - we owe him and his brother an Oscar. That's Tasha in the background, while Samantha's hiding behind the booth to avoid the camera. heh.
Riverkids poster and booklet. The design of the poster is from the RJC students when they did fundraising in their school and the booklet's really out dated but still drew curiousity from a few of our customers. Who can resist that smiling face?
So please do come down and support us at the Arts House in 2-3 Feb and 15-16 March, either as volunteers (see further details ar http://riverkids.groupswim.com/) or customers!
