On their last day, they threw a party for all their students in Steven House and Blum House. The volunteers purchased a large inflatable pool with their own money and also brought snacks and art supplies for the kids.
With the help of staff members, the volunteers set up the pool in the yard next to Blum House and filled it up as excited kids gathered around the sides to watch. On the count of three, all the kids rushed into the water at the same time. It was a little chaotic, but the kids had a great time cooling off and playing in the water.

When the kids had tired themselves out playing in the pool, they went inside to eat a snack and paint pictures.
The volunteers had the energy to throw two parties, one for the morning grade school students and one for the afternoon students. When the second party was over, the volunteers returned to the family house to receive a certificate of appreciation from Mr. Sophon and say a tearful goodbye to the Riverkids students and staff.
