Help from volunteers

While Sister Evon from SIA Cabin Crew and the Get ready Girls from Riverkids were preparing a meal for 200 kids during the event ‘Stand Up and Take Action against poverty’, another group of volunteers from the Korean Language Center and mobile library, Kopion organized activities for the kids. The volunteers included Buddhist monks, Koreans and Cambodians who worked together by dividing the children into drawing, singing, and reading groups.

The kids really enjoyed these activities. The little kids quietly listened to the volunteers who read stories for them. The singing group stood in a large circle repeating the songs and moving their hands happily. The drawing group went to the staff room so that they would have more space to draw and paint their pictures.

I am so pleased when I see people from different countries contributing their knowledge and experience to children that really need their help. Your assistance has made a difference in the Riverkids Community and for that I thank you!
