Amelia was our first volunteer for the library project. She is a professional primary school teacher in her home country, Australia. In 2008, she contacted us to volunteer as a teacher at our Centre.

It was our honour to have her as the trainer for our resident teachers and our teachers had several productive and fruitful weeks with her.

During her stay with us, she got her friend, Jodie to help out with our library project. From painting and decorating to furnishings and stocking the library materials, the 2 lovely ladies transformed the library into a nice and conducive place for reading.

Sadly, Amelia and Jodie ‘s time with Riverkids is near because they have to return to Australia in a few days. All the children and staff at the centre will be sad to see them go.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Amelia and Jodie for their invaluable help and support. We will miss you sorely!
