I'm leaving for Phnom Penh early tomorrow morning. My mum and a friend of hers are coming along for the trip, and as I'm armed with both a camera phone and wireless at the hotel, I will be posting a lot more updates this trip round!
Really excited about seeing the two new houses, the Children's House and the Family House. We have to confirm the vocational training curriculum, but that's set, and I'm hoping we can also get enough funding for the kindergarten project.
We have our first Singapore employee, Therese, who will also be updating this blog. She's tackling the Riverkids filing cabinet and has organised the shop and will shortly organise everything else *g*. Completely underpaid and overworked, and very lovely.
We're bringing up sixty kilos of donations, hopefully enough to start a proper toy library for the slum kids and to equip the Children's House a bit better. Just today, someone dropped off a box of blankets that are perfect for the kids - lightweight and kid-sized, enough for everyone who might have to sleep over.
The annual report is done and heading to the printers, and I am going to go and see if I can fit some more teddybears into my bags.
