Singing Contest!

Pheakdey and Sinoy planned our very own 'Riverkids Idol' singing competition for our Get Ready girls.

All the kids will sing a tune at the drop of a hat, and we've seen the microphones - even loudspeakers! - at events used for singing the moment they were left unattended. The kids love singing.

On the 20th of June, the concert found "the winner with the best song and sweet sounds", although presents went round to the top five! We even had a tie for fifth place *g*

Small fun events like this are a great way to encourage the shy kids and celebrate their creative sides. The Get Ready girls are often struggling academically, and feel hopeless. Getting to compete, with a real chance at winning, and having your friends support you - that helps.
