We are so pleased to have a group of volunteers from Admiralty Secondary School, Singapore, organize the Family Funfair at Riverkids Community in Cambodia. The kids and their families were really excited during the Family Funfair. Phnom Penh: November 23, 2008, The Family Funfair was organized by Riverkids Foundation in cooperation with Admiralty Secondary School, Singapore, in order to create an opportunity for children to meet each other and have fun. This funfair was held at Riverkids’ Head Office located in Pshar Touch Village, Sangkat Toul Sangke, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh City.
Mr. Phy Sophon, Executive Director of Riverkids Foundation said that the celebration, appearing in Pshar Touch, Sangkat Toul Sangke today was the hard effort of Mrs. Dale Edmonds, The President of Riverkids, in cooperation with Admiralty Secondary School, Singapore. The purpose for organizing the Family Funfair was to provide a chance to children and their parents to have fun and enjoy themselves together. Moreover, students from Singapore also had the chance to share their love to the Cambodian children, and also their own dedication for charity and social work. Particularly, it was an opportunity for the volunteers to get to know Cambodian culture and to strengthen the relationship of the two countries, Cambodia and Singapore.
Miss. Jasmine Musat Haider, the teacher in Admiralty Secondary School, said that she was so happy to see those lovely children with different abilities being involved in the playing of games, which expressed their courage and intelligence as the next generation.
